bride and groom reading their vows for their mountain view turnout wedding

Evelyn and Lucas’s Mountain View Turnout wedding in Grand Teton National Park was one of those days that makes you fall in love with elopements all over again. These two traveled all the way from Pennsylvania to get married in the Tetons!! They spent the entire day together, from sunrise coffee to sunset photos, exploring some of the most beautiful spots the Tetons have to offer and honestly, it was such a joy to capture it all for them!

Morning Coffee and a Slow Start

The day kicked off with a simple morning coffee run. Evelyn and Lucas grabbed drinks from a local favorite and headed to a scenic overlook on the Idaho Side to enjoy coffee & cinnamon rolls with a view. Starting the day slowly and intentionally makes the rest of the day feel relaxed and joyful.

Getting Ready with Family and Friends

After breakfast, Evelyn and Lucas got ready surrounded by their closest family and friends in a cute Airbnb. They stayed near Driggs, Idaho for their elopement! Hair and makeup were handled by Teton Valley Beauty, and Evelyn’s dress from Silk Bridal Easton was absolutely stunning in the mountains!

Private First Look and Vows

One of the most memorable parts of their day was the private first look. We found a quiet, iconic spot in the park where Evelyn and Lucas could share a few moments alone before the ceremony. This spot is one of my favorite turnouts with the best views in the park!

They read their vows privately as just the two of them. Having this private moment is a great way to slow down and really connect and it makes the ceremony itself even more meaningful. We then ventured to one of my favorite lakes nearby for some stunning photos before the ceremony!

Mountain View Turnout Wedding Ceremony

Next came the ceremony at Mountain View Turnout. This spot is perfect for couples looking for a mix of epic mountain views and privacy. The setting is intimate but still has those dramatic Tetons peaks that make for the most insane photos!

Evelyn and Lucas had just their closest family and friends present! And a close family friend officiated the wedding. At Mountain View Turnout you can have up to 25 people total for your wedding here. More info can be found on the National Parks Website.

Sunset Photos in the Tetons

After the ceremony, we spent some time capturing sunset portraits. While their friends and family headed into Jackson Hole!

Dinner and Celebrating with Loved Ones

The day wrapped up at a local steakhouse, where Evelyn and Lucas ended their day with their closest people. After a full day of exploring, private vows, and sunset portraits, it was the perfect way to relax, share stories, and enjoy a meal together.

Planning Your Own Mountain View Turnout Wedding

If Evelyn and Lucas’s day has you dreaming about your own Mountain View Turnout wedding, the good news is this spot is perfect for couples who want an intimate, stress-free celebration in the Tetons.

Here’s how you can make it your own:

  1. Take a Full-Day Approach: Start with a slow morning, explore a few favorite spots in the park, and finish with sunset portraits. Full-day elopements let you soak in the mountains without feeling rushed.
  2. Pick Your Perfect Ceremony Spot: Mountain View Turnout has jaw-dropping views and privacy! Perfect for just the two of you or a small group of loved ones (up to 25 people total)
  3. Let Me Capture the Day: As your elopement photographer, I’ll be there to guide you, and help you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. I also help in the planning process to make everything easy and stress free!

If this feels like your kind of wedding, I’d love to help make it happen: intentional, relaxed, and full of the prettiest Tetons views. Want some inspo for great Airbnb’s in the area?! Check out my blog post on the Best Airbnbs for Your Jackson Hole Elopement.

The Best Part of Full-Day Weddings

One of the things I love most about all-day elopements is how much couples get to focus on each other. Evelyn and Lucas spent every part of their day together, connecting with their closest people, exploring the Tetons, and just spending the day with each other!

Evelyn & Lucas’s Kind Review

“From the first no pressure introduction facetime call all the way to receiving our gallery after the wedding, Megan has been absolutely wonderful! Throughout the entire planning process, she is there whenever you need… she will even pop in and just send a quick email to make sure everything is good and ask if you need any help. She provided us with so many vendors (hair/makeup, places to stay, restaurants, flower shops, bakeries, and so much more). The day of the elopement in the Grand Tetons ran so smoothly with the schedule she planned with my husband and I.

The day was honestly so special and she made everything feel as natural as possible. She gave my husband and I little prompts on what to do and nothing felt posed or unnatural. We absolutely LOVED Megan! She is the sweetest person you will ever meet and the gallery we got is STUNNING.” – Evelyn & Lucas
