Haley and Parker truly got the best of both worlds for their Hastings Nebraska Wedding at the Brique 1887. They were surrounded by so much love from all of their friends and family on their wedding day. The day started out with a traditional church ceremony outside of Hastings and then their reception was held at the beautiful Brique 1887 in Hastings Nebraska.
The night ended with all their friends smoking cigars outside under the stars. The following day we did something a bit untraditional and got all dressed up again and had the best day after session. Which I highly recommend to all couples! For their day after session we went and took photos in a field near where Haley grew up and close buy to where they live. Haley and Parker met in high school and have been dating for a few years. It was such an honor to shoot their wedding and I had so much fun authentically documenting their day from start to finish. I might be a little bias because I have shot so many weddings here and I myself had my wedding reception here! But my favorite wedding venue in Hastings, Nebraska is Brique 1887 located near downtown Hastings! I love this venue for so many reasons!
The first is the overall space! In Hastings Nebraska it is hard to find wedding venues to accompany large midwest weddings, but the Brique 1887 actually has two floors making it perfect to accommodate large weddings! Also, the owner Tracy is super great to work with and ensures that your happiness comes first!
Another reason why I love the Brique 1887 for your Hastings Nebraska Wedding is that there are two different getting ready spaces that are large and offer lots of natural light. In the mornings there is so much light beaming into these room, making it a dream for getting ready photos. This space is great for big wedding parties that need all the room to get ready! Also, lots of my couples choose to have their rehearsal dinners in this space, which is perfect for having your wedding weekend all at the Brique 1887.
Lastly, the architecture that the Brique 1887 offers makes its ideal for having your dream Hastings Nebraska Wedding. Because the venue is already so stunning with all the exposed brick the simplest of details really make the space some to life! On the bottom floor there are enough seats to fit around 350 people comfortable, but with the second floor this brings so many options! During a day after session all the wedding day stress is gone and you are just able to enjoy taking photos together. Also, having a day after session allows you to enjoy your entire wedding day and not take any time away from being with your people. Unlike traditional sunset photos on your wedding day, we can have time to do a full session rather than just a quick 20 minutes outside your reception area! It’s not for everyone but you should totally consider!
Here’s a newsflash you can take photos wherever you want, so if you are getting married relatively close to a cool location, let’s drive there and get the best wedding photos! This location could be the beach, mountains, open field, or just somewhere special to you guys as a couple.
Haley and Parker did their day after session in a field nearby their home in Nebraska. Haley grew up playing in this field and now took her wedding photos there. I’m a huge fan of taking photos in big open fields with sunny skies and rolling hills. There is just something about tall fall grass that inspires my art. For their day after shoot we stayed until blue hour, and the last bit of light.
